Xsensus Grounds Its GenAI Tools in Juristat’s USPTO Prosecution Data

Agreement connects Xsensus’s attorneys and AI tools to Juristat’s patent prosecution data and analytics

NEW HAVEN, Conn., Nov. 5, 2026: Juristat today announced an agreement with Xsensus LLP to give the firm’s attorneys and generative AI tools direct access to USPTO prosecution analytics through the Juristat Data Layer (MCP).

Under the agreement, Xsensus connects its internal AI workflows to Juristat’s prosecution intelligence: examiner and art unit behavior, allowance patterns, and outcomes drawn from more than 20 years of USPTO data. Attorneys get the analysis inside the tools they already use, with no manual pulls.

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard for connecting AI systems to external data sources. For patent prosecution, the value is grounding: generative AI is only as reliable as the data beneath it, and without a verified source it fills gaps with hallucinations. The Juristat Data Layer gives Xsensus’s AI tools real USPTO prosecution data to reason from, so outputs rest on evidence rather than estimation, and the connection runs within the firm’s own environment instead of sending prosecution details to third-party tools.

The result for Xsensus attorneys and AI tools:

  • Sharper examiner strategy: win rates by response type (interview, amendment, RCE, appeal) for a given examiner, so response strategy rests on what has worked, not guesswork.
  • Fewer wasted rounds: the path most likely to resolve a rejection with a given examiner, so attorneys stop defaulting to another office action or RCE and protect margin on flat-fee work.
  • Better-calibrated client advice: realistic timelines, costs, and odds grounded in the specific examiner and art unit.
  • Stronger drafting inputs: amendments and arguments that actually worked in similar cases, available to the firm’s AI tools when they draft.

“Our attorneys get answers grounded in what has actually happened at the USPTO, for the specific examiner and art unit in front of them, without putting client information at risk. That is the bar for any AI we use on client work,” said Andrew Harry, Partner, Xsensus.

“Generative AI is only as good as the data underneath it. Xsensus is not letting its AI run on guesswork. Connecting to the Juristat Data Layer puts our proprietary USPTO prosecution data directly into the AI their attorneys already use, so the work gets faster without giving up accuracy or confidentiality,” said Lauren Bonner, CEO of Juristat.

The integration is available now to Xsensus through the Juristat Data Layer (MCP).
