The Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA) held the Expert training course on intellectual property, inviting 33 participants from 23 countries (11.3~6).
November 7, 2025: The Korea Invention Promotion Association(KIPA) held the annual MOIP-WIPO-KAIST-KIPA Advanced International Certification Course (AICC) on Intellectual Property successfully in Seoul from November 3 to 6 in collaboration with the Ministry of Intellectual Property (MOIP) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
The AICC course, which is being run for the 16th time this year (‘10~), is a course that provides in-depth education on intellectual property management strategies for intellectual property experts in developing countries. A total of 15,755 people from 188 countries have taken the course so far.
This year, 33 people from 23 countries were selected out of 1,364 people from 119 countries that took the online portion of the program, which included the course entitled IP Panorama 2.0*.
* E-learning content jointly developed by MOIP, WIPO, and KIPA, consisting of 8 modules and 37 detailed sub-modules designed to help students learn about intellectual property strategies from a business perspective.
The course covers topics such as innovation management based on intellectual property, IP licensing strategies and negotiation practices, IP valuation and finance, and emerging IP issues in the era of AI.
The program is designed around lectures and discussions, offering participants opportunities to compare national IP management strategies through case studies, including analyses of best practices from AICC participants’ countries.
When the intellectual property usage rights (licensing) strategies topic is covered, the participants are divided into teams so they can hold realistic mock negotiations and evaluate the results of their negotiations to strengthen their overall communication ability.
Famous domestic and foreign intellectual property experts, including Professor Clinton Francis (Northwestern Law School, USA), Professor Tana Pistorius (University of Auckland, New Zealand), and Professor GwangJun Kim (KAIST Graduate School of Future Studies), participated as lecturers this year.
