Are you looking for an opportunity to enhance your IP asset management knowledge and expertise?
Do you wish to build an active network with global IP enthusiasts?
Registration for the seventeenth annual Advanced International Certificate Course (AICC) on IP asset management for business success is now open until April 19(~23:59 Korea Standard Time)
Jointly organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Ministry of Intellectual Property in the Republic of Korea (MOIP), the Korea Invention Promotion Association (KIPA), and the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), AICC is a free three-phase online training program that provides a path for even beginners to become IP experts.
In the first phase of the program, participants complete the online IP Panorama 2.0 course, which represents a significant leap forward from its predecessor, as the entire program has been updated to utilize microlearning techniques and design, recent case studies, and more.
The original thirteen course modules have been reduced to eight and subdivided to reflect current trends in e-learning, with shorter educational segments for mobile-friendly content.
That is followed by WIPO’s online DL-450 IP Management (IPM) course, which focuses on how to develop and implement an IPM strategy.
After studying the DL-450 course materials and attending all the online lectures, participants then move on to write their IP essay. The essay will include up to four DL-450 case-based questions and a section where participants should describe their motivation for learning about IP.
Participants who receive the best grades for the essay will be selected to take part in the final phase of AICC, the offline seminar. Around thirty participants from all corners of the globe will come together for this face-to-face course in November.
Ju Hyung Lee, director of KIPA’s Department of International Cooperation, strongly encourages students and professionals with an interest to sign up for AICC to broaden their IP knowledge from a business perspective and obtain formal certification.
He remarked: “The AICC course offers participants the chance to receive a globally-recognized certificate in IP from their PC or smartphone. On top of that, the KIPO Academy website has been totally redesigned to make the learning experience even better for participants.”
“Those selected for the offline seminar also get the chance to network with like-minded professionals and learn from some of the top IP experts from around the world. For those with a desire to deepen their IP knowledge and broaden their business skills, this is not a program to miss.”
Since 2010, over 15,000 participants from 186 countries have signed up for the AICC program. To sign up for this year’s AICC course, please visit our educational content site, KIPO Academy (www.kipoacademy.kr).
