GlobalBlock Adds World’s Largest ccTLDs in New Expansion, Instantly Increasing Coverage by More Than 10%

GlobalBlock has added its largest batch of extensions to the blocking service to date, increasing coverage by 70 extensions.

The platform now includes a total of 780 extensions.

Alongside the new batch, China’s .cn and Germany’s .de extensions will be included in the market-leading domain blocking solution, providing customers with enviable protection in two of the most important country code Top-Level Domains (ccTLDs) in the world.

The .cn and .de namespaces join other geographic extensions in their regions and around the world, including Indonesia (.id), Bangladesh (.bd), Costa Rica (.cr), and Sri Lanka (.lk).Commercial Director of the Brand Safety Alliance, Tony Kirsch, said GlobalBlock continues to enable proactive domain protection for brand owners, and the addition of .cn and .de is a testament to the ongoing success of the service.

“Every day we speak with brands that face challenges reconciling the need to protect their IP assets with budget and resource restrictions. As the world’s first solution that addresses brand protection before the crisis hits, GlobalBlock is driving a new standard for brand owners that no longer believe that the solutions of the past will meet their needs in a new AI-driven threat world.”

“As of today, we have blocked more than 5 million domains that match brand terms and prevented bad actors from registering them. This is something our entire team is very proud of.”

“Through an increasing willingness of domain registries to help IP owners protect their identity, we’re proud to offer a solution that simplifies the process for brands and creates a safer internet.”

GlobalBlock’s coverage has grown steadily since its launch almost two years ago, with included extensions increasing by approximately 40% in that time. GlobalBlock’s unique covered network of ccTLDs, gTLDs, and Web3.0 extensions continues to grow, and for existing customers, this increased coverage is applied at no additional cost, meaning the value of a GlobalBlock purchase grows over time.

Since its launch in March 2024, thousands of unique brands have been protected by GlobalBlock, and its popular Priority AutoCatch feature has retrieved more than 10,000 unauthorized domains from third parties following deletion or expiry.

With further extension batches planned for 2026 as GlobalBlock’s network grows, the service will continue to provide unprecedented security in the fractured online world of brand protection. The Brand Safety Alliance is also actively engaging with prospective applicants in the upcoming round of new TLD applications to promote GlobalBlock as a solution for stronger brand protection and improved registry health.

Brands and IP professionals wishing to learn more can attend upcoming GlobalBlock Market Briefing Sessions with one of GlobalBlock’s accredited agents to hear directly from the GlobalBlock team and access personalized data on how their brand could be protected.
