Susan Allen

Susan Allen is a Public Policy Manager, Media & Intellectual Property at Meta. Her work centers on global IP issues including copyright and artificial intelligence, likeness and personality rights, anti-counterfeiting, and select patent and IP/trade policy issues.

She has worked on intellectual property and technology policy for more than two decades across industry, the U.S. executive branch, Congress, and private practice. Before joining Meta, she spent over a decade at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Office of Policy and International Affairs, developing domestic and international copyright policy, contributing to government studies on copyright in the digital environment and to the U.S. government’s work on artificial intelligence and intellectual property. Earlier in her career, she practiced intellectual property law at law firms, handling transactional, litigation, and prosecution matters, and served as a USPTO trademark examining attorney.
