Dr. Ngoc Ngo is an economist at Competition Dynamics.  She specializes in the advanced empirical analysis of intellectual property, antitrust and competition disputes in the telecommunication, medical device, pharmaceutical, consumer goods, computer software and industrial tools sectors.  She has employed advanced econometric techniques to identify substitution patterns in pharmaceutical markets, to determine the causes of commercial success, and to measure the value of standard-essential patent portfolios.  Ngoc managed complex client engagements in an array of intellectual property and other commercial litigation matters.  She has testified by expert report and deposition in patent infringement litigation.

Outside the context of litigation, Ngoc consults with clients regarding the valuation of intellectual property assets, including the licensing of industry-leading patent portfolios.  Her ongoing research concerns improved methods of valuing patents, and methods of measuring the value of patents essential to multiple technical standards.
