Soo-Jin Kim

Soo-Jin Kim is a Korean patent attorney and a founding partner of JOOYON KRP, with over 15 years of professional experience. Prior to co-founding the firm, she gained extensive in-house experience managing corporate patent portfolios at a leading Korean technology conglomerate and represented major global companies, including Qualcomm, Google, Huawei, and NEC, while working at two of Korea’s top-tier law firms. Driven by the need to resolve critical cross-border IP challenges, she relocated to China and spent three years practicing at King & Wood Mallesons.

Currently based in the United States, Ms. Kim serves as a visiting patent attorney at a U.S. intellectual property law firm. Her practice focuses on the telecommunications and artificial intelligence sectors, including standard-essential patents (SEPs). She also conducts in-depth comparative research on patent prosecution and litigation in the United States, Korea, and China, helping global enterprises secure strong and enforceable patent rights across international markets.
