Dr. Sheema Khan is an in-house patent agent at Kinaxis, where she develops and implements patent portfolio strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives. She works closely with software developers and architects to identify new inventions and enhance existing ones, and is involved in drafting patent applications, designing inventor engagement programs, and supporting litigation efforts. She also maintains active engagement with developments in AI, machine learning, and subject matter eligibility.
She holds an A.M. in Physics and a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics, both from Harvard University. She is an inventor with patents in drug delivery technology and an author, as well as a long-standing monthly columnist for The Globe and Mail, Canada’s national newspaper, where she has contributed op-ed columns since 2002.
