Kyle Vallecillo

Kyle Vallecillo is Senior IP Counsel at LG Energy Solution, the largest EV battery manufacturer in North America. He plays a key role in protecting the company’s critical IP assets through patent prosecution, acquisition, licensing, litigation, and trade secret enforcement across its eight North American manufacturing plants. Kyle also supports the company’s policy and regulatory initiatives by engaging with government stakeholders and policymakers on issues impacting emerging battery and energy technologies.

Prior to joining LG Energy Solution, Kyle served as a patent examiner for a decade at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, where he examined patent applications involving advanced computing, communications and artificial intelligence technologies.

In addition to his corporate role, he serves as a Major in the U.S. Air Force.
