Chuck Hong is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Netlist, Inc., a publicly-traded semiconductor company headquartered in Irvine, CA.
Founded in 2000, Netlist is a leading provider of high-performance memory products for datacenter servers and storage systems as well as a supplier for its cutting-edge solutions to global IT customers. Netlist also licenses its intellectual property portfolio in advanced memory technologies which are integral to AI and cloud computing infrastructures.
Before founding Netlist, Mr. Hong served as President of Infinilink, a communications software company, and as Executive Vice President of Viking Components, a memory products manufacturer. He started his career at LG Electronics in Seoul, holding various management roles in Korea and the U.S. over a 15-year tenure.
He is a member of the UCI CEO Roundtable and has served on the board at Bank of Hope. As an Advisory Board member of USIJ, Mr. Hong has been a strong advocate for reforming the U.S. patent system to cultivate innovations by start-ups and inventors.
Mr. Hong earned a B.S. in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University on a D1 athletic scholarship and an M.S. in Technology Management from the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University.
