Bryan is Senior IP counsel at 3M Innovative Properties Company. Along with developing and managing international patent portfolios, his practice includes patent opinion work, trade secrets, generative AI, licensing, contracts, and patent enforcement. Prior to joining 3M, Bryan was a senior associate at Dinsmore & Shohl.
Before entering private practice, Bryan was a patent examiner at the USPTO for three years, during which he attained the senior level of GS-13. Prior to law school, he was a LAMP stack developer and also a graduate research assistant working with iDEN telecommunications technology at Motorola.
Bryan received his JD from Washburn University School of Law, along with MS and BS degrees in computer science from Florida Atlantic University. He is a registered patent attorney admitted in Virginia, Washington DC, Minnesota, Kansas, and to practice before the US District Court for the District of Columbia, Federal Circuit, and US Supreme Court.
