Andrew Waxman is a Principal at Harness IP. Andrew’s intellectual property law practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of domestic, international and PCT patent applications in the electrical, computer and mechanical arts industries. He also devotes a portion of his practice to client counseling and the preparation of legal opinions related to patentability, validity and patent infringement.

Prior to Harness IP, Andrew worked as a Patent Examiner at the USPTO, where he focused primarily on Class 370 (Multiplexing and Internet Telephony), including packet and circuit switched communication networks. As a result, Andrew has developed an expansive knowledge base regarding the operations and inter-workings of the USPTO. Having been in the shoes of an examiner himself, Andrew offers a keen ability to understand the USPTO’s position, which often allows for more effective communication throughout the prosecution process. Andrew’s insight, in-depth technical expertise and pragmatic approach to patent procurement allow him to deliver unique advantages. He is frequently able to secure patents more quickly and economically for his clients.
