Christof Wolpert

Christof Wolpert is the Vice President Global Legal Innovation for adidas, one of the biggest and leading sporting goods manufacturers in the world. In this role, Christof leads a highly diverse and engaged team in close collaboration with the Innovation team and all other R&D teams of adidas to “Enable and Protect” the brand and to create a competitive advantage for adidas in a highly competitive industry.

After graduating in Physics, Christof started his IP career more than 25 years ago at Biotronik, at the time the second biggest manufacturer of implantable heart pacemakers, before moving to adidas in 1999. Since then, Christof passed the European patent Attorney exams and successfully graduated in “Law for Patent Attorneys”. During his time at adidas, Christof build a patent team from scratch and transformed it into a team that supports globally all legal aspects of adidas Innovation, from the world of patents and design registrations to all kinds of innovation-related agreements.
