Anup Misra is the founder of Misra IP Litigation PLLC, a law firm focused on patent litigation strategy, diligence, and oversight within the litigation finance ecosystem. He works with patent owners, investors, and funding platforms to evaluate, structure, and manage high-stakes intellectual property disputes, and serves as head of underwriting for the Patent Capital Funding program, a large-scale insurance-backed patent litigation funding vehicle.
Anup has nearly two decades of experience in complex patent litigation across a broad range of technologies. His work focuses on evaluating the legal, technical, and economic merits of patent disputes and shaping litigation strategy from pre-suit diligence through appeal. He regularly works on matters spanning multiple jurisdictions, including patent disputes in the United States and international forums.
Before founding Misra IP Litigation, Anup served as Managing Director of IP at Curiam Capital, where he led underwriting and strategic oversight of patent litigation investments. In that role, he evaluated infringement theories, validity exposure, and damages frameworks in numerous matters and worked closely with trial counsel to shape and monitor case strategy.
Earlier in his career, Anup practiced at Winston & Strawn LLP, Mayer Brown LLP, and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, representing major technology companies in high-stakes patent litigation. He holds B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University and earned his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
