IPWatchdog CON2020 Goes Virtual—And Free

Due to the continuing COVID-19 outbreak in Texas, we will unfortunately not be able to host a live CON2020 program in September as previously planned. Over the past several weeks, we have been working with sponsors and registrants to make arrangements. We greatly appreciate the support we’ve received. Thank you.

Despite our second failed attempt at a live meeting in Texas, we will not be deterred. We have already contracted with the same hotel for CON2021, which will take place September 12-15, 2021. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for announcements. We look forward to seeing you all in Texas—eventually!

The New Plan

In the meantime, we have 23 panels and thought provoking mini-lectures that were all to be a part of CON2020 and are ready for virtual delivery. We already have reconfirmed 90 speakers, and moderators are coordinating their panels presently. We are pleased to report that we have been granted approval to award 15 hours of MCLE credit—including 2 hours of ethics credit—in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas. We also have an application pending in Virginia.

We have several keynote presentations already confirmed, including remarks by former Chief Judge Paul Michel (CAFC, ret.); Tricia Thompkins, who serves as Executive Vice President & General Counsel for Perry Ellis International; Raymond Millien, Chief IP Officer and CEO for Volvo Car Ventures; Alden Abbott, General Counsel for the Federal Trade Commission; and Louis Foreman, Chief Executive of Enventys and Executive Producer of the Emmy® Award Winning PBS TV Show, Everyday Edisons.

So, we are pleased to announce that we will bring CON2020 to you VIRTUALLY and for FREE starting September 1, 2020. CLICK to REGISTER.

Our plan for Virtual CON2020 is a series of virtual programs that will take place throughout September 2020. Rather than having all-day programming, we will spread this free virtual program out across multiple days, which will allow registrants to come for the panels they’d like to attend without needing to block out an entire day.
