Theodore Wood

Theodore (Ted) Wood is a patent attorney and owner of the Washington DC-based patent boutique law firm, Wood IP.  His firm helps companies protect and leverage their innovations and ensure marketplace exclusivity.  His clients range from Fortune 100 companies and tech companies to solo inventors.

Before his legal career, Ted was an Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, where he served honorably for over 23 years. More recently, he was recognized as one of a small number of veterans featured in Law360 and his firm was featured on LinkedIn. As an active-duty officer, Ted developed threat signal detection algorithms for aircraft electronic combat systems, satellite communication systems, and stealth technologies.

Ted has a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Dayton School of Law and a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Northrop University.  And one of Ted’s greatest achievements is receiving a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University.
