André Nickel is a partner at Grünecker. He has represented clients in Europe and Germany as a patent attorney in prosecution, litigation and many EPO opposition proceedings, mainly in the software, computing and communications field. A large number of the patents he has worked on have corresponding U.S. family members. He drafts applications for later prosecution and enforcement in the U.S. and a range of other core jurisdictions worldwide and advises clients on the subtle and sometimes not so subtle differences between European law and practice and the U.S. perspective.
