The Global IP Landscape
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Global IP index is a comprehensive ranking of more than 50 of the world’s economies based on intellectual property climate. Once dominate in the patent rankings, the rest of the world has caught up to the United States, as many countries understand the importance of providing strong patent protections. Despite stiff competition regarding patents, the U.S. continues to remain the top economy overall for intellectual property. This session will: (1) Analyze the patent landscape in both improving and declining countries; (2) Discuss where the United States stacked up in the 2022 patent rankings; and (3) Review where the overall global climate for both SMEs and large multi-national corporations; and (4) Identify overall IP trends and issues shaping the global conversation.
