Webinar: SEPs, Unwilling Licensees and FRAND

Those contributing patented technologies to the development of a standard agree to provide a FRAND assurance, in essence committing to providing access to patents that are or may become essential to the implementation of the standard. A relatively simple concept that becomes quite complicated and messy in practice. One of the most thorny issues within the FRAND debate is the question about those implementers who deploy technologies that otherwise infringe SEP patents, but who refuse to enter licensing negotiations or do so only nominally and not in good faith.

On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 12 PM ET, join Gene Quinn, President & CEO of IPWatchdog, Inc., Adam Mossoff, Professor of Law at Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University, Kristen Osenga, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Richmond School of Law, and Volkmar Henke, Partner at Bardehle Pagenberg, for a wide-ranging conversation about international SEP litigation, unwilling licensees, FRAND, the role of patent pools, and more.
