A Conversation with PTAB Judges
This panel, moderated by Todd Walters, Patent Office Litigation Practice Group Leader at Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney, will offer the perspectives of Administrative Patent Judges (APJs) from the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). While patent attorneys may think everything they are doing is a best practice and highly persuasive, the real question is whether the Judges of the PTAB agree. What do the Judges find to be most helpful and persuasive in writing and during oral presentations? What do the Judges find to be the least helpful? Why? Plus an update on what is currently happening of note at the PTAB.
NOTE: PTAB Judges invited and expected to participate (USPTO approval pending) include Chief Judge Scott Boalick, Vice-Chief Judge Michael Tierney, Judge Grace Obermann and Judge Melissa Haapala. We will update this page once formal approvals are received.
