Judge Newman is an icon and pioneer. She was appointed to the Federal Circuit by President Ronald Reagan in 1984. Judge Newman holds a B.A. from Vassar College, an M.A. from Columbia University, a Ph.D. from Yale University, and an LL.B. from New York University School of Law.
