Sean Sullivan

Sean Sullivan is Vice President and Chief Patent Counsel for Axcelis Technologies, a world-leading provider of equipment and services to the semiconductor manufacturing industry.

Prior to joining Axcelis, Sean service as Assistant General Counsel for 4Catalyzer, a startup accelerator dedicated to maximizing societal impact.  Prior to joining 4Catalyzer, he Senior Counsel for Intellectual Property at Butterfly Newtwork, Inc., and a partner at a Hartford, Connecticut-based IP boutique law firm, where he led the firm’s largest client team in filing an average of 1,000 patent applications annually over a three-year period.

Sean earned a BS of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering, and a JD from Western New England University.  He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the USPTO.
