Sal Karottki

Salvador (Sal) Karottki is General Counsel for Gracenote (a Nielsen company) and head of the IP, M&A, and Technology Operations teams in Nielsen’s corporate law department. Among his other duties, he provides intellectual property counseling to all of Nielsen’s business units and manages Nielsen’s patent and trademark portfolios and IP litigation matters. Nielsen has 3,500+ active patent assets worldwide and was ranked 180 of the top patent owners in the most recent IPO300 rankings. Mr. Karottki has managed numerous patent litigation matters for Nielsen in federal courts in jurisdictions throughout the U.S. and in front of the PTAB, primarily as a patent owner.
