Kristen Ruisi is a Trademark and IP Counselor to Brands at Venable LLP. She counsels on social media enforcement, including takedown proceedings on multiple platforms, Internet-related matters, and domain name registration.

Kristen also works with clients on domain name disputes, including opposition and cancellation proceedings before the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Canadian Internet Registration Authority, and other organizations governing domain name disputes, and copyright matters regarding the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Kristen’s transactional work includes licensing, negotiating, and drafting agreements. She works with clients in myriad business sectors – fashion and beauty, technology, entertainment, and gourmet food, among others – and oversees global portfolios, branding initiatives, and strategies with a business and open-minded approach, considering each client’s nuanced needs and goals.

Kristen has extensive experience with day-to-day portfolio management. Before joining Venable, Kristen worked at a global high-profile fashion, beauty, and luxury goods company, where she managed their global trademark portfolio.
