Faegre Drinker is actively recruiting a Senior Attorney to join the Patent Practice of the Intellectual Property practice group in its Indianapolis, IN, or Fort Wayne, IN, offices. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Faegre Drinker’s Intellectual Property group is comprised of distinct sectors: patent, trademark, copyright, advertising and media; technology transactions; and litigation. Our practice offers leading-edge experience across a wide range of industries, including health and life sciences, software and electronics, sports, entertainment and media, and energy and natural resources. Our Intellectual Property attorneys work directly with our clients, engage meaningfully with industry groups, and join business development opportunities throughout all stages of their careers.
Faegre Drinker is seeking a non-partnership track patent attorney with at least six years, and more preferably at least eight years, of experience in mechanical engineering work. Experience in engines, transmissions, suspensions, electric drive trains, industrial automation, robotics, pumping technology, and/or consumer products, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is desired. Experience or a desire to mentor junior colleagues is also desired. Patent experience in the mechanical and electrical arts will also be considered. Patent bar admission and Indiana bar admission or the ability to waive into Indiana is required.
