About the United Inventors Association |
|
IPWatchdog, Inc. is a proud member of the United Inventors Association (UIA). While some may not be familiar with the UIA, we can and do vouch for this organization. While there are any number of groups operating to scam inventors, the UIA really does look out for the interest of the individual inventor.
Individual inventors can find a wealth of information on the UIA website, and can also find reliable assistance from the various professional members, all of who have been researched by the UIA to ensure that they are not one of the many invention scam companies who are unfortunately operating in many locations throughout the United States.
To the extent that inventors need additional assurance to trust the UIA, perhaps it will be helpful to know that a recent past President of the UIA, Don Kelly, spent a distinguished career as a senior executive at the US Patent & Trademark Office. While at the USPTO he served as senior assistant to two commissioners and directed the operation of a variety of patent examining divisions. Don was also the founding director of the USPTO’s Office of Independent Inventor Programs.
If you are looking for reliable information I feel confident that you can trust the UIA.
By way of full disclosure, I serve on the Board of Directors to the United Inventors Association, and I am Chair of the Professional Membership Committee. If you have questions about joining as either an independent inventor or a professional member please let me know. If you have interest in sponsoring or underwriting efforts of the UIA feel free to contact me to discuss further. I can put you directly in touch with those in our organization who can work with you. As with any non-profit organization, support of the community is critical.
