Patent Attorney and Blogger Named President of Patent Calls

Patent Calls, Inc., a provider of technology-based patent analysis services and solutions, last week announced the appointment of patent attorney Patrick Anderson as President. Those who are familiar with the patent blogosphere might recognized Anderson’s name from his popular Gametime IP blog.  Anderson is also contributing editor of the Patent Calls’ blog, Patent Connections.

The Patent Calls press release announcing Anderson as President touted his prior experience in licensing and enforcing patents, which will provide a unique perspective benefiting Patent Calls’ clients and propelling Patent Calls’ growing analytics and patent sourcing businesses.  The company analyzes patents in the context of enforceable market value and provides litigation support for both plaintiff and defendant counsel.

Recently Anderson was named by IAM Magazine as one of the World’s Leading IP Strategist, citing his experience as counsel in patent infringement lawsuits.

“The work we do at Patent Calls verifies the importance of patents as an asset class, in addition to their role in rewarding innovation and creative thinking. We are witnessing a sea change in the way we think about IP investment and I look forward to assisting our clients in managing their innovations for years to come,” said Anderson.

“Patrick has been instrumental in quietly establishing Patent Calls as the trusted source for technology-based insights related to patents involved in transactions, licensing and litigation for our clients,” said Dr. Jose Melendez, Patent Calls’ founder and CEO. “Given the successes we have experienced this year with our fast growing new patent sourcing business, Patrick’s promotion to President allows Patent Calls to more effectively serve our clients with the highest level of customer service they expect from us.”

Anderson is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Law and also holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech.
